Digital Health
The availability and use of digital health tools exploded during the COVID-19 pandemic and are ubiquitous in our daily lives. From platforms providing patient appointments, to QR apps that displayed our vaccine records on demand, the public visibility and use of
digital health tools was a game-changer for healthcare delivery during the pandemic

Member States throughout the EU are reshaping their health-care systems through the integration of digital health; 25 out of 29 European countries have digital health strategies. At European level, the
European Health Data Space Regulation
requires that patient data is shared between healthcare units and across borders. However, digital systems within and between countries are not standardized, and data sharing depends on good quality, cyber-secure, health information systems and electronic health records.
